The Catalog of Voigt Company Fourth Edition - Paperback

by Philadelphia Voigt Company (Created by)

"The Catalog of Voigt Company Fourth Edition" is an extensive trade publication that serves as a comprehensive visual record of early 20th-century architectural ornamentation. As a primary reference for the building trades of the era, this catalog showcases a vast array of decorative elements, including ornamental plaster, composition ornaments, and intricate wood carvings designed for both interior and exterior enhancement.

The collection illustrates the diverse range of classical and period-specific motifs that defined the opulent aesthetic of the late 1920s. Detailed illustrations feature elaborate cornices, moldings, ceiling roses, and decorative panels, reflecting the high standards of craftsmanship required for grand residences, public buildings, and commercial spaces of the time. This work is an invaluable resource for restoration professionals, architectural historians, and designers seeking to understand the technical and artistic specifications of decorative features during a transformative period in American architecture. By documenting the available styles and patterns of the day, it provides a unique window into the material culture and decorative arts of the early twentieth century.
