A Gothic Paranormal Romance

Some debts are written in ink. The Eustace debt is written in blood.

Elara Eustace is a woman of logic, driven by the cold certainty of numbers. As a twenty-four-year-old accountant, she believes that every deficit has a source and every theft leaves a trail. But when she returns to the fog-shrouded ridges of Gainesboro, Tennessee, to settle her family's crumbling estate, she finds a bankruptcy that defies the laws of physics.

Blackwood Manor is a house of echoes, held in the suffocating grip of a two-hundred-year-old curse known as "The Luck." For generations, the Eustace women have thrived on a prosperity they never asked for-a forced success that demands a brutal, personal price. But as Elara digs through the family's hidden ledgers, she realizes "The Luck" isn't a blessing. It's a predatory interest rate.

Locked within the Manor's shadows is a secret the ridge has tried to bury: Thaddeus Thorne.

A man out of time, Thaddeus is the flickering silver light in the darkness-a soul who has waited two centuries for an audit that will finally set him free. To save her mother and break the cycle of generational trauma, Elara must do the one thing a Eustace has never dared: she must confront the unseen architect of her family's misery.

In a world where the line between the living and the dead is as thin as mountain mist, Elara and Thaddeus find themselves bound by a True Vow that transcends time. To survive, Elara must use her clinical mind to uncover a two-hundred-year-old fraud before the ridge claims the last of her blood.

The books are open. The shadows are waiting. And the final payment is due.
