Given a 100 year sentence a century ago, inmate 33-01 should, today, be released. At seventeen, she was found guilty of torching her home, killing her father, his friends, and her little brother. But there's no death sentence.
Rescuers have come from as far away as space itself, to help her. The law says she was meant to die, and even now, there are those whose duty it is to finish the job.
But she isn't running away. She's running the secret criminal operation inside the prison! It's all been her father's plan to organize a revolution within The Citadel; And if everyone will stop trying to rescue her, she could stay a little longer, and get it done!
This is a woman with the full attention of the sprawling medieval City of Arcitte! This is SuLela DeSauna, cult icon and cover-girl of the product, Defiance-5, elixir of youth. And she hasn't aged a day since she entered The Citadel.
The true killer must silence SuLela before the people realize they've put a predatory alien in the highest seat of office! To succeed she would have to have the gods on her side. Fortunately, her friends can fake it.
