Enemas And Fasting - Paperback

by Linda Burfield Hazzard (Author)

Enemas and Fasting is a book written by Linda Burfield Hazzard, a controversial American alternative medicine practitioner from the early 1900s. The book explores the use of enemas and fasting as a means of cleansing the body and promoting health. Hazzard believed that many illnesses were caused by toxins in the body, and that enemas and fasting were effective ways to remove these toxins and restore health. The book provides detailed instructions on the proper techniques for administering enemas and fasting, as well as the potential benefits and risks associated with these practices. Hazzard was known for her extreme views on fasting, and her methods were often criticized as dangerous and even deadly. In fact, several of her patients died under her care, leading to her eventual conviction for manslaughter in 1912. Despite the controversy surrounding Hazzard and her methods, Enemas and Fasting remains a notable work in the history of alternative medicine. It provides a fascinating glimpse into the beliefs and practices of a controversial figure, and offers insight into the early development of alternative medicine in the United States.THIS 36 PAGE ARTICLE WAS EXTRACTED FROM THE BOOK: Scientific Fasting: The Ancient and Modern Key to Health, by Linda Burfield Hazzard.
