Like music, cooking and baking must be shared. Like any art at its best, keep the Muse in attendance and love in your heart.

GB's Cafe is a state of mind. Starting at the family farm in Ohio where, as a child, Ginna first punched down a rising mound of dough, to the Chopra Center for Well Being in Southern California, where, as Executive Chef, she perfected the sweet potato paratha, to her popular restaurant, Ginna's Cafe in beautiful Carmel Valley, where her famous scones and popovers sold out every day: this is Ginna's world, her state of mind, her expression of love.

The recipes in this book represent a lifetime of baking. Dip a Lemon Zest Scone into your steaming latté, split a Molasses Ginger Cookie with a friend, build a Gingerbread House with your grandchildren. "GB's Cafe: the bakery" has more than 100 delicious, easy to follow recipes.

Keep it on hand. You never know when you might want to make Buttermilk Muffins.
