Hoop Drama - Hardcover

by Andy Silvers (Author)

At twenty-three, Robin Chapel isn't like you-if you believe her new boss. As the only black person at an ad agency in whiter-than-snow West Virginia, she has an uphill battle to learn a new career. Despite the support of a loving husband and no-nonsense mother; can Robin speak truth when called upon by her coworkers, family, and recent shooting victim Kenan Porter? Compared to marginalized people of America's past, Robin has it easy, but the road less traveled is ignored for a reason-conformity breeds weakness.

From author and award-winning filmmaker Andy Silvers, this novel serves as a ripped-from-the-headlines story of perseverance, femininity, and self-discovery about a young woman with dreams to do more-but no clue where to start. Simply put, Hoop Drama is a novel about the lost being found; a remedy to those whose voices are still unheard. For ages 16+
