House of Blades - Hardcover

by Will Wight (Author)

House of Blades is the first book in The Traveler's Gate Trilogy by Will Wight, the author of the New York Times bestselling Cradle series.

Simon can only watch helpless as his family is killed and his friends captured by enemy Travelers-men and women who can summon mystical powers from otherworldly Territories. To top it off another young man from Simon's village discovers that he's a savior prophesied to destroy evil and save the realm.

Prophecy has nothing to say about Simon. He has no special powers no magical weapons and no guarantee that he'll survive. But he sets off anyway alone to gain the power he needs to oppose the Travelers and topple their ruthless Overlord. It may not be his destiny but Simon's determined to rescue his fellow villagers from certain death.

Because who cares about prophecy really?

Series Description

The Traveler's Gate Trilogy is the first work from Will Wight, the author of the New York Times bestselling Cradle series. The trilogy establishes his style of fast-paced, cinematic fantasy action, with an emphasis on colorful magic, humor, and progression.

Traveler's Gate follows a boy who isn't the chosen one but chooses to save the world regardless. He explores mystical realms, saves the innocent, gains new magical powers, and fights monsters with a giant sword. Think anime on the page, or video games without the numbers.

For those who would love Cradle but who don't want to commit to a long twelve-book series, there's Traveler's Gate.
