Somewhere in Hollywood - Hardcover

by Lisa Czarina Michaud (Author)

It's Silverlake in 2004 where Carla and Pete are chasing the soundtrack to their lives. But life isn't always the perfect mixtape.

Once driven by their band, their Eastside dreams are sidelined by reality. Carla experiences the monotony of being a TV extra, while Pete grapples with identity and ambition working in an office. As he hides his bisexuality in an era of misconceptions, he shies from intimacy, leaving Carla confused as their once-strong connection frays under unspoken truths.

Somewhere in Hollywood gives Deep Cuts a pair of Wayfarer sunglasses, nailing the early-2000s pop culture buzz, it explores the sting of unrequited love in more-than-friendships, the depth of queer identity, and the fight to find yourself when everything stops making sense.
