Self-healing takes time

Life can be an emotional roller coaster ride

Head face down while curled up in a ball

From all the self-pity, pain, heartaches, losses and all

Things aren't going my way.

Tears flowing like a river down my face

Feeling like constant thunder and rain

I've died a million times to things that I thought I once knew

I can't even catch a break.

Self-healing is a battle you have to face. Fight, don't be rattled!

No one tells you about the struggles of the ugly duckling.

Long warm showers for hours

Turned my attitude sour.

We have the choice to pick ourselves up Break through and reclaim our power!

"Supernova Dreams is full of very powerful and inspirational poems. As a teacher I encourage my students to dream "big" dreams, and this book is full of reasons for a child to dream those "supernova dreams". Krystal's pictures also bring her poems to life. The pictures are full of color. I feel that every school library should have this book to inspire young writers and artists. Adding the details at the end for a person to create their own story is a wonderful idea. Krystal adding her own experience as a child will inspire students of all ages. Thank you, Krystal, for being an inspiration. Keep up the excellent work."
