Haunted and separated by a tragic past event in Miami, Louis, Joseph, and Dorothy navigate their separate lives over five decades, keeping alive the troubled hope of one day recovering what they have lost. Guided by memories, the stars, the planets, and accompanied by various canine companions, their journey to resurrect the mysterious bonds of family takes them across America, meeting a lively, colorful cast along the way.

In The Beautiful Rings of Saturn, we follow these three unique characters as they strive to mend their fractured lives in the aftermath of a great horror. Louis grapples with a successful career, hiding guilt and shame behind the veneer of social and professional position. Joseph, shocked and disoriented, constructs a fragile mask of normalcy, while Dorothy, resilient and tough, emerges as a true survivor from the ordeal.

Their story unfolds from the tropical landscape of South Florida to the South Carolina midlands, to the serene wilderness of northern Maine. The narrative traverses time and space over half a century, presenting a vivid tapestry of life, loss, yearning, and redemption. It is a testament to the human spirit's indomitable will to heal and rebuild, drawn together by the profound cords of family.

Along the way, our protagonists cross paths with a vibrant ensemble of characters that enrich their journey. The Beautiful Rings of Saturn poses a poignant question: Can what was shattered so long ago be pieced back together? It explores the transformative power of family ties, the resilience of hope, the mysteries of time and life and death, and the wise and comforting touch of our four-legged friends. This book is a stirring saga of endurance and recovery, a tale of the quiet strength that lies within the human heart.
