The Bell Tolls Gray: Feared Civil War Officer back in Modern Day Memphis - A time-travel Odyssey - Hardcover

by James Beamish (Author)

Nathan Bedford Forrest is a product of a very dark time.

He was an invincible man who had twenty-nine horses shot from underneath him in battle.

He was also a man who became rich selling black people.

Using one of my favorite books, A Christmas Carol, as inspiration, these questions come into play:

• Can a single man influence the future?
• Could he also influence the past?
• Could one man's past actions cause irreparable harm to current society?
• Could a man of such power in the Confederacy have a black advisor?
• Could having a friend that one could trust with spiritual guidance, finances, and health trump one's skin color?
• What would the most feared calvary officer in the Confederacy think about today's Memphis?

And--most importantly--can he be redeemed?

Author James Beamish combines the past and present in The Bells Tolls Gray. Drawing from his love of history and current events he hopes his stories leave readers inspired.
