The Cache Box: The Glenmere Box Mysteries, Book 3 - Hardcover

by Lisa Adair (Author)

A prairie town. An ambitious police officer. A case that could destroy everything.

In a small town in Saskatchewan, a string of armed robberies could finally earn Officer Jeffrey Hanson the promotion he wants. Determined to prove himself, he throws himself into the investigation, certain that closing the case will earn the respect he's been working toward.

Then the evidence points to Amy Young's estranged father.

With pressure mounting from his superiors and a shaken community demanding answers, Jeffrey builds what appears to be a solid case. The evidence is damning-but doubt lingers beneath the surface.

When another violent robbery rattles the prairie town, small inconsistencies begin to surface. Witnesses seem reluctant to speak, details don't quite align, and someone always appears to be one step ahead of the police.

Amy refuses to believe her father is guilty. Her quiet persistence compels Jeffrey to confront a troubling question: what if the case that could define his career is built on the wrong theory? In a town built on reputation and routine, digging deeper could cost him everything.

Justice isn't always black and white-and the truth may be the most dangerous discovery of all.

Perfect for readers who enjoy small-town mysteries, police procedurals, and character-driven crime fiction set in Canada. Fans of Louise Penny, William Kent Krueger, Alan Bradley, and Gail Bowen may enjoy this prairie mystery setting.
