The Chipmaker - Hardcover

by J. B. McNab (Author)

Suspected by the Americans of being an Israeli agent, Raakel Myers is surprised to find that she's being sanctioned. A later White House administration finds it inconvenient to persist with her isolation and she becomes free to resume her career trading securities.

Her reputation for high-level problem-solving follows her, and she is not safe from underworld forces intent on capitalizing on her talents. When her adopted nation comes calling, obligation trumps autonomy.

There are enough dark actors in the world to ensure a confrontation with miscreants at every turn. The pursuit of anonymity is an option, but this promises no guarantees. She can't keep being a target. But how is it really her fault?

Regular people don't face the dangers of a truly messed-up world. She could join their ranks, if she only knew how.
