by Michael Pratt (Author)

When a classical musician travels back in time, his deep love for Mozart's music ignites a passionate romance.

Imagine being given the chance to converse with Mozart-a dream come true for any musician. But for one classical pianist, the dream becomes a reality.

After a difficult period in his life, Stefan Radowitz seeks solace at Mozart's gravesite and unwittingly finds himself transported back to 1785. Arriving at Mozart's door, he lands the job of a lifetime as his musical assistant. As he becomes the virtuoso's confidante, he observes the charisma, drive, complexity, and darkness of a man who gifted the world his masterpieces.

Growing ever more attached to his new life and role, he meets Countess Elisabetta Grünewald; a woman whose musical prowess rivals Mozart. Totally smitten, Stefan and Elisabetta begin a passionate affair and plan for a future. However, Stefan knows his time with Mozart is fleeting. What will become of him once the link to Mozart is broken by the great genius's early death?

The Copyists explores the connection between music and romantic passion-revealing how both succumbing to the rich emotions in Mozart's sensually-charged music and to the heat of physical desire stem from the same part of the human psyche. Fans of time travel romance novels and lovers of Mozart will swoon for this sweeping period romantic drama.
