The Crownless King - Hardcover

by Sydney Wiswell (Author)

In a world the gods abandoned their prophecy is still pulling the strings.

Wren Everhart made a vow, one that she intends to keep. The crown she wears is heavy, but the weight of her ever-growing power is heavier. By day, she learns to navigate the rules of court. But at night she hunts for answers that seem impossible to find. Will her determination be enough to mend a millennium of misdoings?

Luca Grayhaven knows only pain. He has grown accustomed to its noise. In the darkness, he bides his time, stewing over words that echo his fate, praying that he might uncover their meaning before it is too late to save his kingdom and his queen.

The Reaper plots in shadow. Years and lives have been wasted in preparation for the prophecy written in ink but forged in blood. And after centuries, everything is falling into place. But he has made one critical miscalculation: Wren and Luca will stop at nothing to find their way back to each other.

Magic taints their world, creeping from forgotten corners to pull at strings strung long ago. Are their destinies already decided? Or can the will of humans redefine the words of gods?

Darkness brews, chaos reigns, and bonds are broken in Book 2 of the Forged Fates Series.
