The Demonologists' Legacy - Hardcover

by K. Scott Culpepper (Author)

What do we owe the past? What does the past owe us?

From the imposing Chateau Broussard standing on the high cliffs above the French coastal village of Belle Plage, five gunshots shattered the night of October 31, 1974. Jean-Paul Broussard, heir to a vast fortune, lay dead. The elite preparatory school run by his mother disappeared overnight along with all thirteen students and two of their teachers, Lucy Broussard and Aria Fournier. Rumors of hauntings and bizarre rituals at the chateau revived when villagers witnessed strange sights and sounds coming from the cliffs. The murder remained unsolved and the mystery unexplained. Until now.

Diana Chambers confronts her mother's mysterious past when a hit and run driver mercilessly murders Aria Fournier. Equipped only with an antique key and a cryptic note inherited from Lucille, Diana and her sisters race to uncover their mother's secrets and find her former students before a malevolent enemy destroys them all. Their journey takes them to the shores of Brittany where it all began. Evil spawned by the darkest human impulses and nurtured by the scars of war waits for them there, preparing to reignite the same fires that forged Lucy Broussard into the demonologist Lucille Hebert. Fires the Hebert sisters must extinguish for good to protect their loved ones and stop the demons of the past from destroying the present.

The Demonologists' Legacy continues the saga of the unforgettable Hebert sisters that began in The Demonologists' Daughters, plunging readers into a world where Little Women meets the creeping dread and decaying glamour of Mexican Gothic combined with the historical richness, French setting, and cultural nuance of The Paris Library.
