The Ranch House Baking Mix Cookbook Volume 2, starts with recipes for pies, cream puffs, assorted desserts, doughnuts, dumplings, casseroles, sandwiches, muffins, stews, and much more, all carefully handwritten! All recipes available in 2 volumes. Bertha D. Reese wrote each recipe from scratch: From the versatile Ranch House Baking Mix, to the 380+ easy to follow recipes from breakfast to supper and everything in between; just like the ones country cooks serve to hungry ranch crews, families and friends with that homemade taste. In the book, "Bea" has an introduction to each chapter where she explains the many variations, tools and measurements. Tricks when packing, refrigerating, freezing time, heating and reheating to a fresh taste. She also wrote about the variations we can make according to amounts and pans, not to mention what to do if something goes wrong or to prevent "crumbling" the cake and bread when cutting it with an ordinary slicing knife. What an amazing woman! She First got the passion for cooking as a child from her mom Amelia Toroni. When she left the country for city life as a young adult, to pursue a career in San Francisco, a copy of the family cookbook containing all her favorite recipes was tucked into her luggage before she left. Through the years, the well-used recipe book remained a faithful companion to her. She then, started her own. Bertha never had the opportunity to publish her book. On the last day of her life, at the Good Samaritan nursing home in Arizona, she spoke about the book. She wrote the book with such incredible amount of detail in different folders, chapter by chapter from A to Z all handwritten! The Ranch House Baking Mix Cookbook is the perfect gift for any occasion: the 380+ recipes, the story behind it and written with her own ink and letter, make of it a unique book deserving of each home! Bon Appetite!
