The SEDUCTION of the DOVE - Legends - Hardcover

by Jim Truck (Author)

In this second and final book of The Seduction of the Dove saga, we find Paul severely wounded by his now-deceased ex-girlfriend, who took her own life. Rushed to the Emergency Room, his survival is doubtful.

Paloma has worked her way out of the often-daunting dilemmas that sometimes seemed destined to derail her plans to become a doctor. She is now in Chicago, enrolled in the University Medical School, along with her best friend, Beth, and well on her way to fulfilling her long-held dreams. She secretly still longs for her first love, Justin, who, after surviving the war, has become a successful author. But he is now married to the Vietnamese woman who, at a significant personal cost, saved him from torture and death. When Paloma accidentally wanders into Carson Caruthers' studio while exploring downtown, he recognizes her as the subject of one of Paul's first masterpieces. He is poised to tell her of Paul's tragic fate.

Sydney is still in Paris, surreptitiously working with American and Israeli intelligence agents in the planned apprehension of the murderous band of five ex-Nazi officers who had slipped out of Germany before the collapse of the Third Reich with stolen assets taken from their victims as they made their escape. She will stare death in the face when the trap for their capture turns into a bloodbath. An unlikely character will save her life. But she is soon drawn back to Chicago when the unexpected death of her father forces her to return to try and salvage the family banking empire that had fallen on hard times. It will require the aid of both new and old acquaintances to brutally stave off an extortion attempt by a Latvian gang.

The stages are set for turmoil, danger, and the ever-changing circumstances of our three main characters' lives. Does Paul survive? Will Paloma and Justin renew their love affair? Does Sydney succeed in saving the bank? All will be revealed in this second part of their stories. The survivors' lives will become ever more entwined with other characters as they continue to move along the often rocky path of the road to their eventual fates. Deception, lies, love, growth, and death will define their journeys.

It will be a child that changes everything. .
