Three Nieces - Hardcover

by Jody Stallings (Author)

They would always remember that salt-laced summer on Sullivan's Island.

In the summer of 1967, Brandon Easton retreats to the solitude of his family's beach house to heal from his wife's violent death. But when his three spirited nieces arrive, grief gives way to love, laughter, and discovery.

Eighteen-year-old Lucy seeks solace in ballet as she wrestles with a restless heart. Sixteen-year-old Sonnet falls for surfing-and for a charming local boy-while uncovering a pair of mysterious siblings in a ghostly seaside house. Twelve-year-old Emmaline's unlikely friendship with the maid's daughter forces her to choose between loyalty and belonging.

Brandon watches over them with tender devotion, even as his own heart is stirred by the enigmatic Valerie. From summer carnivals to moonlit walks along the shore, the family learns that the most important lessons often come from one another.

Three Nieces is a wistful coming-of-age story about family, friendship, first love, and a summer that turns the tide for them all.
