You Can Find Her Silently Screaming - Hardcover

by Brittan Lockart (Author)

This book is about a young woman, Maggie, who grows up with schizophrenia without being diagnosed until she is in her early 30s.

It explores everyday life and how, after being diagnosed with schizophrenia, she learns to cope with depression, PTSD, and bipolar disorder. It offers a deep look into Maggie's life from the perspectives of her doctor, friends, and family, along with her own point of view. As Maggie navigates through life, she realizes that she needs to help people understand how they can cope and live a somewhat normal life after being diagnosed with schizophrenia, depression, PTSD, or bipolar disorder.

The book also follows Maggie as she grows up and faces even more challenges. She struggles to keep friendships and jobs while battling college life. Maggie denies her anorexia and alcohol abuse and believes that hiding is the best solution after becoming addicted to drugs.

However, even as an adult with many issues, Maggie is still able to conquer her fears and live a happy and sober lifestyle. She becomes her own boss and finds success as a caregiver and makeup artist. After seeing some of her friends and family not fully understanding what it is like to live with a disorder, Maggie hopes this book will help everyone gain a better understanding.
